But it only recently dawned on me that for the past five years I've been shacking up with a seasoned illustrator who not only drew a kick-ass comic strip during college but also fashioned one hell of a pirate ship for his own site last year. Surely he could drum up something equally appropriate for his wife, yes? I mean, the imagery ideas, they were drying up, people. I half-considered resorting to one of my earlier experimental favorites just to rid my template of the cookie-cutter design.

Luckily for all of us, he did not disappoint.

 

It's fitting that the new banner and corresponding color scheme goes live in the midst of what I can only refer to as a blog revival. New life is circulating through the veins of my words, my links, and my images, and it's nice to have a design that better reflects my blogging enthusiam (albeit still somewhat sporadic) and renewed interest in making life happen. Thanks, honey.

It is said a picture is worth a 1,000 words. That new banner is worth way more than just a thousand. The correct value would in the range of 602,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 or 6.02E23.
