I have always loved coming over and seeing your rafting pictures at your house. What an exciting experience to have had.

I love me some good travel. :)

The past was great. However, the future is even better with the children.

The raging whitewater calls to be every fall and I so wish I could run to it. This year Victoria and Coleman will both be old enough for the Gauley River. Would it be irresponsible parenting to take them for a death-defying experience? Hmmm...

We have done a few "family" ski trips since AJU5 was born, but other than that our trips have just been to visit family. I can't wait until all three of our kids are big enough to ski (about 4 years from now) so we can actually take family trips and enjoy them. It is so hard to travel with little ones, and doing a lot on the trips is hard when they are so small and need to nap (and need strollers and tons of other gear).

Great post...really enjoyed reading about your adventures. It acted as a refreshing prompt to remember and think about the infamous Days Before Children!
