Tomorrow morning I will drive to Chicago for the second weekend in a row, leaving behind one amazing husband and three adorable children. The first trip was to go to an Open House for one of the partner schools I work for. This weekend, I get to be part of a baby shower for my sister Ryan. She and my brother-in-law are expecting their first baby in February - a girl! - and they're flying in from North Carolina so we can feed them cake and bombard them with presents.
What's that I smell? A shower-themed photo essay for Day 3? You don't say.
Disclaimer: I very well may suck at NaBloPoMo. I might skip a few days or post quick one-liners better suited for Twitter. But that's okay. Work assignments aside, of course, I've been out of the creative writing habit for so long that I'll take all the progress I can get. That book isn't going to write itself, you know.
Your picture made me think of this question... how's your husband adjusted to having 3? Does he still SAH? It's been nice reading what's going on with you - my blog reader always fills up in November and it's like Christmas newsletter time or something. :)

I'm so excited you're NaBloPoMoing. I had lofty intentions of doing it--I've done it the past several years. But alas, I just can't fit it in this month. I'll live vicariously through you. I've missed your blogging, so this makes me very, very happy.
